Ms. Caroline Peters Belsom, Esq. is an attorney in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii. She has been practicing law since 1982 and is licensed in both Iowa and Hawaii. Prior to August 2010, she was General Counsel for Kapalua Land Company. Before that she was a civil litigator with the United States Attorney’s office in Iowa and a litigation partner in two Hawaii law firms. Ms. Belsom received her Bachelor of Science Degree (magna cum laude) in Physics and Math from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, her Master of Science Degree in Physics from Iowa State University, and her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law. In the past, she has provided time and energy to numerous non-profit groups and to the County of Maui, most notably as the chairperson of its Board of Ethics for three years. She has served as moderator for the Tri-Isle Association of the Hawaii Conference UCC as well as chairperson of the Conference Council. She was one of the Assistant Moderators for the UCC General Synod in 2011. She is a member of Waiola Church in Lahaina where she serves as both Trustee and Deacon. In 2013, Caroline was elected to serve on the United Church of Christ Board.
